Location

Islington Hotel is a hidden gem situated in the tranquil countryside, offering outstanding views of Mount Wellington. The location is a little out of the main city but is well situated to have a look around Hobart. The proximity to Battery Point and a great cafe Ginger Brown is a bonus. Guests love that the hotel is close to everything you may need yet so close to the CBD but you’d never know it once inside the gates. The view of Mount Wellington from the courtyard and guest rooms are stunning and are a highlight of the hotel. Islington Hotel is in a fabulous location and the gardens and surroundings are magnificent. It's a quiet spot and the staff are helpful and accommodating, making for a comfortable stay in a great location.

Breakfast

If you're a foodie, you'll love the breakfast at Islington Hotel! Guests rave about the delicious options and generous provisions. The breakfast is always exceptional with a mix of continental and cooked options, including home-cooked croissants and breads, bircher muesli and sourdough. Plus, the Conservatory is a beautiful setting to start your day with views of the garden and Mt Wellington. Some guests even think the breakfast is worthy of a Michelin star! Overall, the breakfast is amazing and fantastic value for money, although some guests feel that hot breakfasts should be included in the price.
