The Indian Ocean Hotel boasts an amazing pool and bar area that guests have frequently praised. It's conveniently situated on the property, adding an appealing leisure option for visitors. Many appreciate the blend of a good location with clean facilities, making it an ideal spot for a casual pub scene coupled with poolside relaxation. Rooms opening directly to the pool and grassed areas provide a unique experience, especially with the pool opening early at 7am to cater to early birds.
Guests have consistently commended the lovely pool area, some enjoying rooms with scenic pool views. The pool, often described as amazing, serves as a major highlight, offering both swimming and a jacuzzi for added relaxation. Its proximity to the main Scarborough beach enhances the appeal, allowing for both beach and pool activities conveniently.
The hotel also features a well-maintained spa and hot tub, which, like the pool, are kept very clean. The overall authenticity of the place, combined with great bar options, offers a unique charm. However, some minor inconveniences were noted, like the spa closing too early and occasional difficulties sunbathing due to limited access to the pool. Despite a pool emptying incident, the vast majority found the pool and hot tub facilities to be excellent additions to their stay.
