Premier Inn Freiburg City Süd enjoys a prime location highly praised by guests for its easy access to the main train station, Old Town and public transportation. Its central position makes it convenient for exploring Freiburg on foot while providing modern amenities and excellent facilities. Although some prefer more accessible free parking and quieter surroundings, the location is generally celebrated.
The hotel's breakfast offerings receive commendations for quality and variety, catering to diverse dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. The pleasant dining area and regularly replenished buffet enhance the experience. However, some guests feel the breakfast, though tasty, is somewhat overpriced and could benefit from an expanded selection.
When it comes to rooms, the hotel garners consistent praise for cleanliness and comfort, featuring large beds, modern decor and spacious layouts. Guests appreciate amenities like big TVs, ironing boards and walk-in showers. Minor noise issues and occasional carpet stains do not significantly detract from the overwhelmingly positive feedback. The well-thought-out room design and reliable fulfillment of requests add to the satisfaction.
Cleanliness is a standout attribute with guests describing rooms and communal areas as spotless and well-maintained. Despite minor issues with carpets, the hotel's commitment to a clean and inviting environment is evident.
Staff at Premier Inn Freiburg City Süd are frequently highlighted for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing significantly to a pleasant stay. Efficient check-ins, professional demeanors and an overall welcoming atmosphere leave a positive impression. Minor language barriers and some service issues at the hotel bar are noted but do not overshadow the extensive praise for the staff.
Parking at the hotel is convenient, thanks to an on-site underground garage, though the daily fee of €15 is considered steep by some guests. Alternative free parking options are available but limited and somewhat distant, suggesting room for improvement in parking amenities.
Feedback on the beds is mixed with many guests finding them very comfortable, while others note issues with hardness and size, particularly with double beds featuring a single continuous mattress. The absence of mini-fridges and the parking fee also slightly affect the overall cost-effectiveness.
