While there were minor issues such as occasional odors and the absence of refrigerators, the overall room experience remains positive with well-maintained and functional settings.

The staff is frequently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. Staff members like Jeffrey, Daniel Arias and Rachel Sims receive particular commendation for their exceptional service. A few isolated incidents did mention unfriendliness, but overall, the staff's dedication significantly enhances the guest experience.
The hotel’s WiFi service is another strong point, often praised for its reliability and speed. While a small number of guests reported connectivity issues, the majority found the internet service suitable for work and leisure activities.
The gym is described as well-equipped and functional, though some guests noted its small size and occasional crowding. Nevertheless, it offers a beneficial amenity for those looking to maintain their fitness routines during their stay.
Parking at the hotel receives mixed reviews with some finding it expensive and inconvenient, while others appreciated the availability of secure and straightforward parking options next door.
Nightlife is another appealing aspect, largely due to the remarkable rooftop bar that provides stunning night views and a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel's location near various nightlife spots further enhances its appeal for evening entertainment.
Lastly, the beds are frequently described as comfortable and conducive to a good night’s sleep, despite a few comments about the softness of pillows and occasional discomfort.
Overall, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Midtown Manhattan/Penn Station offers a rewarding stay in New York City, marked by its excellent location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and standout rooftop bar. While there are areas for improvement, the positive aspects of the hotel significantly outweigh the negatives.
