Ninohe
Haunted Hotel
Ryokufuso used to be one of the most haunted hotels in Japan, as it was home to a benevolent spirit who took the shape of a child and is said to bring good luck according to Japanese superstition. The spirit belonged to the eldest son of a noble family of the 14th century in Japan, who died at the age of 6 in a room that now belongs to the hotel. Its spirit still wanders about, protecting the property and its residents. However, the good luck did not last for long, since in 2009 the building was burned down. Although there were no fatal injuries and the hotel reopened in 2016, the spirit has yet to be seen ever since.
