The Turquoise Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum View Hotel offers a unique experience marked by its exceptional location, which stands out as its most lauded feature. Nestled right across from the iconic Giza pyramids, the hotel provides breathtaking views from nearly every vantage point, including rooms and the rooftop terrace. This strategic setting allows guests to reach the pyramid entrance in mere minutes on foot, making it an optimal spot for sightseeing. Its proximity to local restaurants and cafes further enhances convenience, even though it is somewhat removed from downtown Cairo.
The breakfast experience is mixed; many guests highlight the spectacular views of the pyramids from the terrace and appreciate the freshly prepared local dishes. However, there are significant concerns about variety, quality and service efficiency, suggesting room for improvement.
Dinner at the hotel also shows highs and lows. While the food is delicious and affordable, especially local cuisine, the menu is limited, slow service is a recurring issue and some guests find the food to be bland or overpriced. Additionally, the absence of alcohol and lack of variety might disappoint those seeking diverse dining options.
Room reviews are generally positive with many guests commending their cleanliness, comfort and stunning pyramid views. The beds, however, receive mixed feedback; while some find them comfortable, others describe them as old and saggy, indicating inconsistency in bedding quality.
Cleanliness at the hotel is another area with mixed feedback. While many guests praise the clean and well-maintained rooms and common areas, others note an inconsistency in housekeeping services, mentioning issues like dirty carpets, stained linens and inadequately cleaned bathrooms.
The staff at the hotel receive high praise for their friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness. Guests frequently highlight the warm and welcoming nature of the staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Special mentions are often made of individuals like Esraa, Horus and Aya for their exceptional service.
The hotel's Wi-Fi service has garnered mostly negative reviews with many guests reporting slow, unreliable connections. This is an area that clearly needs improvement.
Parking facilities are generally well-received with ample and accessible spots that make it convenient for those traveling by car. The hotel also offers organized shuttle services, enhancing its appeal to guests preferring not to drive.
Families find the hotel accommodating with large family rooms and friendly staff contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, there are some issues with room service and booking consistencies that could be addressed.
The hotel claims to be a four-star establishment, but several guests feel it falls short, rating it closer to three stars due to inconsistencies in cleanliness, maintenance and service quality.
Overall, while the Turquoise Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum View Hotel offers an unbeatable location and generally pleasant stay, there are several areas for improvement to better meet guests' expectations.
