The hotel is also conveniently located near local restaurants, supermarkets and shops. For those looking to venture into the city center, bus stop No. 21 is just a few meters away and provides easy transport to Chania's old town. Additionally, the hotel offers its own parking for those with cars. Although some guests noted that the location was a bit noisy or in the middle of nowhere, overall, the hotel's strategic position within the best beaches of the island makes it an ideal base for exploring the stunning west coast of Crete.

The beds are big and comfortable, the bathrooms are very clean and the showers are fantastic. The rooms are cleaned daily and guests always have fresh towels. The size of the room is pretty big and some rooms have a huge balcony. The staff is great and the hotel is very neat and clean. Although some guests found the rooms a little on the small size and with limited storage space, the overall opinion is that the rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean, making for a enjoyable stay at Elia Kalamaki Hotel.
