Petra Thea is a hidden gem with a breathtaking location perched on a mountain slope overlooking Kalamata Bay. The view from every room is exceptional, making it one of the most beautiful views in the area. The infinity pool and two terraces offer superb views of the bay, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. Although the location can be difficult to find, it's close to the supermarket and Kalamata. Guests warn of some scary roads coming up but driving with steep slopes is manageable. It's not in walking distance of any restaurants, but the authentic Greek hospitality more than makes up for it. Overall, Petra Thea is an ideal location for a stay in Kalamata with stunning views and peaceful surroundings.

Petra Thea is a beautiful hotel with excellent rooms that offer an incredible view. The apartments are spacious and well-appointed with modern decor and comfortable furniture. The beds are firm and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. All rooms offer lovely views from balconies. The units are spotlessly clean and the smaller rooms are well equipped and furnished for convenience. Furthermore, the modern air-conditioned apartments have large kitchens. The accommodation is providing daily room cleaning. The location of the hotel is favourable as it's away from the chaos of the city and has integration with the landscape. The pool area is magnificent and the staff is warm and welcoming. All rooms have a view of the sea and the pool, making the stay more enjoyable. Some guests found the bathroom basic and of less quality, but it didn't detract from the overall luxurious ambiance with attention to detail.

The superb host, Dimitris, along with his friendly staff, ensure that guests are personally welcomed and taken care of throughout their stay. The hosts are flexible, meeting guests for check-in and check-out at their preferred times. The owner (caretaker?) is always on hand tinkering away, repairing any furniture as required. Although some guests have found it hard to contact property management, yia yia Evangelia makes up for it, being very attentive to guests' requests. The warm and well-meaning welcome guests receive is heartwarming and helps to make their stay extra special. All in all, the staff at Petra Thea are polite, helpful and efficient, responding quickly and effectively to any requests from guests.
