PD Lagoon Resort is an attractive destination in the Port Dickson area, thanks to its strategic and serene location near the beach and various amenities. Guests appreciate the easy access to sun, sand, dining options, supermarkets and recreational centers. The resort provides a peaceful retreat with beautiful scenery, including a lake located just behind it, enhancing the overall relaxing atmosphere.
The rooms at PD Lagoon Resort are notably spacious and some offer beautiful balcony views. The minimalist and uncluttered environment further adds to the appeal with good bathroom facilities being highlighted positively. Despite these advantages, there are significant areas for improvement, especially regarding cleanliness and room maintenance. Guests have reported bad smells, dirty toilets, stagnant water issues and faulty air conditioning, among other concerns. There are discrepancies between advertised photos and actual room conditions with some rooms lacking basic facilities such as cutlery and refrigerators.
Cleanliness across the resort is inconsistent. While some apartments are neat and clean, numerous guests have reported dusty rooms, sticky floors and the presence of cockroaches. Improving the overall hygiene and maintenance standards is essential to meet guest expectations more consistently.
The staff at PD Lagoon Resort is generally praised for being friendly and helpful, particularly the receptionists who contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests have encountered issues with unavailability, unfriendliness from maintenance staff and instances of staff entering rooms without notice. Despite these issues, the overall sentiment regarding the staff's service is largely positive.
Among the resort's amenities, the large outdoor pool is a popular feature with guests enjoying its clean condition and the designated section for children. However, maintenance issues and occasional extra fees for larger groups are noted. The resort's lack of WiFi and TV channels may appeal to those seeking a technology-free, immersive retreat, although it may detract from the experience for guests expecting these conveniences.
The beds at PD Lagoon Resort have generated mixed feedback. Some guests managed to sleep peacefully despite the small size and hard mattresses, but many reviews indicate discomfort due to old, uncomfortable mattresses and cleanliness issues with bedsheets and bedding. Instances of ants, bed bugs and unpleasant smells have also been reported, highlighting the need for substantial improvements in the quality and maintenance of bedding.
Overall, PD Lagoon Resort offers a well-situated and peaceful location, friendly staff and spacious rooms, but must address significant cleanliness and maintenance issues to fully meet guest expectations.
