Bertam Resort, Penang, receives high praise for its strategic location, providing easy access from main roads and highways, ample parking and proximity to Bertam Water Park, making it an enticing option for families with children. Though a bit removed from Penang Island and Georgetown, the serene, quiet atmosphere and accessibility to various amenities and tourist attractions contribute positively to the resort's appeal.
The breakfast offerings at Bertam Resort are well-received for their diverse and delicious menu, featuring Malay, Western, Chinese and Indian cuisines. Guests particularly enjoy the extensive buffet selection with standout dishes like nasi lemak. Despite minor critiques regarding variety and logistics, most find the breakfast an excellent start to their day. Dinner at the resort is appreciated for its taste and room service convenience, although the buffet is seen as somewhat pricey and in need of more variety.
The rooms at Bertam Resort are consistently described as clean, spacious and comfortable with beautiful decor and views. Guests appreciate the high standards of cleanliness, well-maintained facilities and thoughtful amenities, such as free minibar drinks and local fruits upon check-in. Some minor maintenance issues and occasional noise do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.
Cleanliness is a standout feature at Bertam Resort with guests frequently complimenting the spotless rooms, well-maintained common areas and pristine pool. The resort's friendly and helpful staff enhance the welcoming atmosphere, despite occasional lapses in service during peak times.
The gym at the resort is highly praised for its impressive equipment and unique open-air design, while the swimming pool is celebrated for its size, cleanliness and suitability for both kids and adults. The ample free parking, though some distance from the lobby and lacking shade, is another convenient feature.
Families find Bertam Resort particularly appealing due to its kid-friendly environment, spacious water park and large pool, making it a great choice for family vacations. The resort's proximity to a well-maintained golf course adds an extra layer of enjoyment for golf enthusiasts.
