Hostería El Pomar boasts an enviable location in the charming town of Novales, providing guests with picturesque views of lush valleys and serene surroundings. Its strategic position allows easy exploration of nearby attractions such as Santander, Santillana del Mar, and stunning beaches, making it ideal for both family visits and cultural excursions. The welcoming and peaceful environment of El Pomar, complemented by attentive staff, ensures visitors feel right at home.
Guests frequently praise the breakfast offerings, describing them as abundant and diverse, featuring a variety of sweet and savory options suitable for all dietary preferences. The buffet is well-maintained by diligent staff, contributing to a satisfying start to the day. Although the dinner experience receives mixed reviews, many appreciate the quality of the home-cooked style meals. Some guests suggest improvements in menu diversity and portion sizes, noting that the cost may be perceived as high for the offerings.
The spacious rooms are appreciated for their potential comforts, such as terraces with charming views and direct garden and pool access. Cleanliness in rooms and shared spaces meets expectations for many, although some guests express concerns about soundproofing and outdated facilities. Despite occasional lapses, the hotel's exterior, including the pool area, receives positive comments for its well-maintained appearance and inviting atmosphere.
The staff, often described as friendly and attentive, significantly enhance the guest experience, with many feeling warmly welcomed and assisted throughout their stay. While a few reception-related issues arise, the overall sense of hospitality is strong. The pool and surrounding gardens contribute considerable appeal, offering a delightful spot for relaxation. While improvements in bedding comfort are necessary, as many guests find the beds uncomfortable, Hostería El Pomar generally succeeds in creating a pleasant environment combining nature and hospitality.
