Best Western Plus La Corniche, situated in an enviable location facing the sea and harbor in Toulon, is frequently praised for its stunning sea views and tranquil setting. It is ideally located near Fort Saint Louis, La Mitre beach, the bustling port of Saint Louis, Mourillons beach and various beach bars, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. The hotel's proximity to the city center, ferry terminals and local restaurants offers both convenience and breathtaking vistas, enhancing the guest experience alongside the friendly and helpful staff.
Guests appreciate the well-appointed, comfortable and clean rooms with many highlighting the beautiful sea views, particularly from rooms with balconies. The comfort of the bedding and well-sized showers add to the overall pleasant stay and the suites provide ample space for larger groups. Despite a few minor issues such as smaller rooms, insufficient daylight in some areas and occasional soundproofing concerns, the accommodation generally receives high marks for its cleanliness and comfort.
The breakfast at the hotel is another notable feature, often described as fantastic and delicious with a varied and well-presented buffet. The tranquil breakfast room and the option to have breakfast on the balcony overlooking the harbor enhance the dining experience, although some guests feel the price is high and the selection of salty foods could be greater.
The cleanliness of the hotel stands out as a key attribute with rigorous standards maintained throughout the premises. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by the friendly and professional staff who ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests.
One area of contention is the hotel's four-star status with some guests expressing disappointment and suggesting the quality and services are more reflective of a three-star establishment. Specific critiques include the absence of a restaurant and high breakfast pricing.
Overall, Best Western Plus La Corniche is recommended for its stunning location, beautiful sea views, clean and comfortable rooms and courteous staff, despite some differences in opinion regarding its four-star rating.
