Leonardo Hotel Lago di Garda - Wellness and Spa has received mixed reviews regarding its four-star rating, facilities and services. On a positive note, the property boasts clean spaces, a well-equipped spa, gym facilities and a heated pool which align with a four-star establishment's expectations. The outdoor area of the hotel also meets the standards one would expect from a four-star property. Additionally, many guests found the hotel to offer excellent value.
However, there are notable criticisms from other guests regarding several aspects of the hotel that do not match the four-star rating it advertises. Specifically, the breakfast offerings and restaurant food were considered insufficient for a four-star hotel with some guests mentioning that dinner portions were not fitting for such a classification. The use of coffee machines instead of a coffee bar and other disorganized aspects were points of contention for many visitors. Maintenance issues, such as old carpets in the hallways and an unpleasant smell from the shower drains, were also noted.
The hotel's service was frequently described as subpar for a four-star rating with mentions of the catering service being approximate and the greeting at the reception not meeting expectations. Some guests also criticized the overall cleanliness and the style of maintenance, suggesting that it does not correspond to the standards advertised. In summary, while the hotel offers some amenities that fit its four-star label, significant improvements are needed, particularly in culinary offerings, service quality and maintenance, to meet the consistent expectations of discerning travelers.
