Demänová Rezort offers a range of pool facilities with a variety of experiences for guests, though there are some notable limitations. The pool area includes a clean outdoor pool and a heated pool with a dedicated area and toys for children. However, these pools tend to be small and often crowded, making it difficult to find adequate swimming space.
Guests have enjoyed the nice sauna area that complements the pool with amenities like a hot pool, plunge pool and jacuzzi. There's also mention of a medium-sized pool and specific pools for very small children, ensuring they have safe and engaging water activities. The water in the pools is generally nice and warm, though some have mentioned that the water in the children's pool can be icy at times.
Free access to these pool facilities adds to their appeal, yet the lack of an indoor pool and insufficient towel service at the pool can be a downside for guests. The outdoor pool area becomes adult-only after 5:00 PM, providing a more tranquil setting for grown-ups.
On the less favorable side, the small wellness area and the limited number of sunbeds create challenges and the pool facilities are often fully occupied. Access to the pool and playground area proves difficult for guests with strollers. There's also ongoing construction affecting the outdoor pool, which may cause inconvenience.
Overall, while the pool and wellness areas at Demänová Rezort have their charming aspects, they face significant constraints in terms of size, access and service.

At Hotel Janosik, the wellness area receives praise for its excellent facilities, which include a variety of saunas, a hot tub, and a smaller pool. Guests can enjoy features like a pool with a counter-current, offering a relaxing experience for those looking to unwind. However, these amenities are available for an additional fee and are not part of the general room rate. Access to the pool and wellness area is primarily available on weekends, with limited availability during the week, which may inconvenience guests with different schedules. Some reviewers have noted issues with pool cleanliness and the water temperature, suggesting there is room for improvement. Overall, while the facilities are highly regarded, consistent access and inclusive pricing would enhance the guest experience.

At the Wellness Hotel Chopok, guests are treated to a rejuvenating experience with an impressive pool and spa area. Visitors frequently commend the hotel for its clean and well-maintained facilities, highlighted by a huge adults-only pool that promises peace and tranquility away from the bustle. Two separate pools cater to different needs: one for children and a more atmospheric option dedicated to adults, making it an ideal sanctuary for relaxation. The children's pool has been noted to be deep and cold, but the overall wellness offerings are well-received, including a wide array of saunas and several jacuzzis. Although some guests feel the pool might be inadequately sized for the hotel’s capacity, leading to crowding at times, others appreciate the serene environment when it isn’t busy. The warm pool temperature and clear waters contribute to an exceptional spa experience, further complemented by top-notch massage services and a delightful sauna area. Opening hours could be more accommodating for evening relaxation, as the adult wellness area opens at 3 PM and the facilities close by 8 PM. Nonetheless, the wellness facilities coupled with the hotel's excellent location for hiking and cycling make it a popular choice for both adventure and relaxation seekers.
