Ibis Montmelo Granollers stands out as a pet-friendly haven. Not only does it accept pets, but it also caters to their needs with various amenities. The staff is notably friendly towards dogs and guests can enjoy peace of mind as their furry companions are even allowed in the restaurant and during breakfast. The hotel is ideal for guests traveling with dogs, whether it be a single pet or multiple, as there are no extra charges for bringing them along. There's a convenient green area in front of the hotel, perfect for dog walks, making it a suitable choice for pets sensitive to fireworks. However, note that there are no complimentary amenities such as a fridge or bowl for the pet and there can be an extra charge of 15€ per pet. Overall, it is a highly recommended spot for guests traveling with their dogs, offering calm and convenience.

The 'B&B HOTEL Barcelona Granollers' stands out as a pet-friendly accommodation, welcoming dogs and even cats with open arms. Guests appreciate the convenience of being able to have their dogs accompany them in their rooms, as well as the freedom for dogs to be present in almost all parts of the hotel, including elevators. This inclusive policy is particularly useful for pet owners who often find it challenging to travel with their furry friends.
Furthermore, the hotel is conveniently located near parks, which is perfect for guests who want to take their dogs for a walk. The provision of dog beds is a thoughtful touch that adds to the comfort of pets during the stay. Although an extra cost for dogs is mentioned, it doesn't seem to detract significantly from the overall positive experience for pet owners.
However, it's important to note that only one dog per room is allowed and some guests reported noise issues in the rooms designated for guests with dogs. Despite these minor drawbacks, the hotel is highly regarded for its pet-friendly services, making it a great option for travelers looking to bring their pets along on their trip to Barcelona.

Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Porta de Gallecs is strategically located near major highways, making it an excellent stopover for travelers heading to Barcelona or other destinations in Spain and France. The proximity to the AP-7 highway allows for quick, easy access with Barcelona's city center reachable in about an hour by public transport. The surrounding area is well-equipped with amenities including supermarkets, restaurants, bars, gas stations and a shopping center. Motorsport enthusiasts will appreciate the close distance to the Montmeló and Circuit de Catalunya racetracks. Despite its highway-side location, the hotel maintains a quiet atmosphere due to effective soundproofing, offering a peaceful stay. The free underground parking and overall value for money add to its appeal, especially for those traveling by car.
However, the hotel falls short in providing dining options, lacking both an in-house breakfast and dinner service. Guests often have to seek alternatives nearby, such as a LIDL store or local cafes and restaurants. While there’s disappointment over the absence of breakfast, the surrounding eateries make it manageable for those willing to explore the neighborhood.
Rooms at the hotel are generally spacious and comfortable, featuring large beds, air conditioning and mini fridges. Despite their initial cleanliness and effective soundproofing, the rooms require significant maintenance and renovation. Common complaints include dirty walls, worn-out carpets, broken showers and a pervading smell of tobacco. Automated check-in systems cause frustration due to a lack of staff presence, complicating room assignments and problem resolution.
Cleanliness receives mixed reviews. Many guests find the rooms clean and well-maintained with daily cleaning services, but others report issues such as unclean walls, dusty carpets and mold in bathrooms. Persistent tobacco and marijuana odors detract from the overall experience, highlighting the need for better maintenance and ventilation.
The staff at Hotel Porta de Gallecs is generally praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, especially the cleaning staff. However, the hotel's reliance on automated check-in systems and the limited presence of reception staff create inconvenience for guests needing assistance. While some receptionists receive positive feedback, others are seen as rude or unhelpful.
Free Wi-Fi is a highlight with many guests noting its stability and speed, despite occasional difficulties in connecting. The hotel's pool facilities, though small and pleasant when maintained, suffer from limited access times, cleanliness issues and poor maintenance.
Parking is a major advantage with free underground options that are secure, although spaces can be limited. Alternative parking is available around the hotel, adding to the convenience for those traveling by car.
For families, the hotel offers mixed experiences. Some guests appreciate the accommodating reservation team and attentive cleaning service, but there are issues with room size, ventilation and a lack of childcare services. Noise from the highway and extra costs for additional beds further pose challenges. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel is still considered good for groups and families due to its overall practical value.
In summary, Hotel Porta de Gallecs offers a convenient and strategic location with spacious rooms and good value for money. However, improvements in maintenance, dining options and staff availability are needed to enhance the overall guest experience.
