Its prime location in the bustling city center near Kızılay Square is a highlight for guests, providing seamless access to metro and bus stations, and a vibrant array of cafes, restaurants, and shops. Despite its lively surroundings, the hotel offers a tranquil retreat, allowing guests to explore popular tourist spots and shopping malls within walking distance.
The breakfast at Lion City Hotel Kizilay is generally well-received, with many guests appreciating the diverse and abundant buffet that offers fresh and tasty options, providing a satisfying start to the day. Although there are some remarks about the beverage offerings, particularly coffee, the overall consensus is positive.
Rooms are frequently described as clean, spacious, and comfortable, featuring necessary amenities like air conditioning, TVs, and refrigerators. The attentive staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, with particular praise directed at the night receptionist for their excellent service. While a few minor issues such as occasional smoke odors and noise due to thin walls are noted, the accommodation experience remains largely positive, supported by daily cleaning and the provision of fresh linens and towels.
The hotel's dedication to cleanliness receives high praise, creating a fresh and hygienic environment that enhances guest comfort. The attentive staff further elevate the guest experience with their friendliness and eagerness to assist, which is apparent across various services provided by the hotel, from luggage assistance to parking management. The parking facilities are considered adequate and convenient, bolstered by supportive staff.
Guests also commend the comfortable beds, which contribute to a restful stay, although some note that the beds may be shorter than expected. For business travelers, the hotel's central location, clean environment, and quiet rooms offer a conducive environment for both rest and work, despite the lack of a dedicated desk in rooms.
Despite mixed feedback on the Wi-Fi, with some guests experiencing unreliable connectivity, the overall impression of Lion City Hotel Kizilay is overwhelmingly positive. The hotel provides a peaceful haven amidst lively bars, restaurants, and shops, offering a strategic base for both business and leisure travelers. The central location is complemented by the availability of convenient transportation options, including proximity to metro and bus connections, facilitating easy exploration of Ankara's attractions and a hassle-free airport commute.
Positive reviews frequently commend the hotel's staff for their warmth, friendliness, and professionalism. The reception team, particularly individuals like Mr. Mustafa and Mr. Mohamet, are singled out for their courteous service and attentiveness to guest needs, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Although occasional mentions of inappropriate behavior exist, the staff's reputation remains overwhelmingly positive.
The breakfast offerings at First Apart Residence are characterized by a traditional Turkish touch, providing a decent and filling start to the day. While guests find value in the simplicity of the breakfast, there is room for enhancement, with suggestions for more variety, such as fruits and brewed coffee. Despite some expressing a desire for a more diverse spread, the breakfast experience meets the expectations of those seeking a straightforward meal.
Rooms at the hotel are lauded for their spaciousness and modern design, making them ideal for families or groups. Cleanliness is generally well-maintained, with praise for daily cleaning services and fresh linens. Guests find the rooms comfortable, aided by amenities such as air conditioning and a refrigerator. However, certain areas require attention, including outdated furniture, bathroom fixtures, and insufficient amenities like bedside lamps and kitchenettes. Minor issues, such as infrequent cleaning or cigarette odors, suggest opportunities for improvement in housekeeping standards.
The hotel also provides convenient parking options, which reduce stress for guests traveling by vehicle. On-site and nearby parking, along with attentive staff communication in English, contribute to a seamless experience.
One significant drawback is the poor quality of the free Wi-Fi, with frequent reports of slow speeds and connectivity issues, highlighting a critical area for improvement.
Overall, First Apart Residence offers a comfortable and strategically located accommodation experience, enhanced by attentive staff and convenient amenities, though some areas like Wi-Fi and select room furnishings would benefit from enhancements.
