This castle hotel carries a turbulent history. Initially built in the 14th century as a castle surrounded by fortified walls, it was destroyed over the centuries due to the constant damages caused by wars. During the 16th, 18th and 19th centuries, the castle was destroyed and renovated many times, until it was turned into the hotel it is today in 1990.
