Guests loved the convenient location of the hotel, which is within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. The rooms were described as comfortable, clean and accommodating with some even describing them as gorgeous and delightful. The staff was exceptional with guests praising their kindness, helpfulness and professionalism. The onsite restaurant, Chaz's, offers excellent food and customer service. While some guests felt that the price was slightly high for the facilities provided, the overall experience was very good and left a positive impression with many guests vowing to return to the hotel in the future. Overall, The Raphael Hotel is the perfect holiday location for travelers who want to be close to the action of the plaza and enjoy a cozy atmosphere with modern amenities.

What is the history of the property?The home was built for Leo Snyder and his family, but they sold it a year later when his wife died during childbirth. From 1914 to 1998 the house and property were titled to women, which was unusual at the time. Among those to own the home were Emma Kirkpatrick, Lydia Craig (known for her wedding cakes), and Agnes and Evaline Buis. It was turned into an inn in 1989 by Susan Moehl and Penni Johnson. Nancy Miller and Mark Reichle took it over in 1998 and ran it as a B and B until they retired and sold it to Clemons Hospitality in 2019.
