Agua Hotels Mondim de Basto offers a diverse and well-regarded pool experience for its guests. The hotel features both indoor and outdoor pools, including an impressive true infinity pool that blends seamlessly with the surrounding nature. Reviews frequently praise the large, clean and beautiful outdoor pools, which offer spectacular views, including those of the Tâmega River and the stunning landscapes. Guests appreciate the various pools and the ample sun loungers, ensuring plenty of space to relax.

Families with children find the environments welcoming, though note that some pools have age restrictions, such as the warmer pools which do not allow children. Despite high occupancy leading to crowded areas at times, the pool environments remain tranquil and inviting. The indoor pools receive mixed feedback; while some guests mention that the indoor pools are beautiful and well-maintained, others find them small and the water temperature too cold.

The inclusion of a heated pool and additional relaxation services such as a hot tub and a fully equipped spa enhance the overall guest experience, though there are occasional issues with maintenance, such as a non-functional jacuzzi or cold water temperatures. Nevertheless, the myriad of indoor and outdoor pools and the thoughtful integration with the hotel’s natural surroundings make the pool facilities a standout feature of Agua Hotels Mondim de Basto.
