La Cibourg, Centre de vacances, nestled in the stunning Jura mountains, offers a serene escape perfect for families and nature enthusiasts. The location is lauded for its picturesque beauty and tranquility, providing a peaceful ambiance ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities like hiking and wildlife viewing. Despite the slightly challenging route from the train station, guests find the secluded setting well worth the effort with close proximity to attractions such as Etang de la Gruère, Muzoo and Chasseral.
The breakfast is generally appreciated for its delicious, ample offerings, which include fresh bread, croissants, jams, cheeses and eggs. While some guests noted the simplicity and lack of variety over extended stays, the majority praised the convenience and hearty nature of the meal as a great start to the day.
The on-site restaurant receives high praise for its quality, variety and value for money with guests particularly enjoying the local products and generous portion sizes. The creamy morel mushroom sauce is a standout and the dining experience is consistently described as delightful in a simple yet appealing atmosphere.
Accommodations at La Cibourg are a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Rooms are cozy, clean and functional, though some guests found the decor to be outdated. Newly built bathrooms and amenities like large balconies in select rooms add to the appeal. Shared facilities are well-maintained and the overall cleanliness of the complex is frequently highlighted.
The exceptional cleanliness extends throughout the property with guests consistently noting the spotless condition of rooms and communal areas. This high standard of hygiene complements the friendly and helpful nature of the staff, who are praised for their welcoming demeanor and attentive service.
Families with children find La Cibourg particularly appealing, thanks to its extensive play areas and animal enclosures, providing a paradise for kids to explore. The chalets blend seamlessly into the natural environment, enhancing the overall tranquil and immersive experience.
