Hotel Akazienhof is widely appreciated for its prime location, which offers convenience and ease of access to city attractions. Its proximity to public transport, including S-Bahn and tram stops and nearby highway access make it well-suited for travelers. Free private parking, a quiet and cozy neighborhood and nearby parks for leisurely walks enhance the overall experience. The surrounding area’s safety adds to the comfort, making it a familial and pet-friendly option.
Guests have positive things to say about the breakfast, describing it as plentiful, varied and delicious. The breakfast buffet features a wide array of items—from freshly made scrambled eggs to coffee, muesli and fresh rolls. Friendly and accommodating staff further improve the breakfast experience, although some guests noted minor areas for improvement, like the absence of sweeter items or vegetables and issues with coffee served from thermoses.
The rooms receive praise for cleanliness, tasteful decor and comfortable beds. Modern furnishings, spacious layouts and hygienic bathrooms add to the appeal. However, feedback on room size is mixed and noise from traffic and subways can be an issue for light sleepers. The cleanliness is generally maintained well, but a few instances of dust and minor mold in bathrooms were noted.
The staff at Hotel Akazienhof are consistently rated highly for their exceptional service, friendliness and professionalism. They go above and beyond to meet guest requests, contributing significantly to the welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.
Wi-Fi remains a mixed bag with some guests enjoying strong and stable connectivity while others face unreliable and weak service, particularly on the second floor or in triple rooms.
Free parking is a highlighted benefit, though finding a parking spot can be challenging at peak times. An additional small parking lot nearby provides some respite, though it also fills up quickly.
Families find the hotel appealing due to its friendly staff, great breakfast, child-friendly facilities and clean, well-maintained rooms. However, room size can be a concern for those traveling with multiple family members.
Lastly, while many guests praise the beds for their comfort, some express dissatisfaction with the mattresses, citing issues like sagging, lumpiness and noise from creaky springs.
Overall, Hotel Akazienhof is a highly recommended choice for its excellent location, top-notch service, comfortable and clean rooms and family-friendly atmosphere, although some areas such as Wi-Fi connectivity and mattress quality could benefit from improvement.
