Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Koos in Putbus receives widespread acclaim from its guests with many highlighting its prime location next to the charming train station, allowing for a nostalgic view of the 'Rasender Roland' steam train. Despite being close to the station, the area remains peaceful and the hotel's central yet tranquil setting offers easy access to local attractions, making it convenient for exploring the island.
The hotel’s breakfast is well-regarded, offering a variety of delicious items and an abundance that ensures guests never leave hungry. Although some find it simple and the breakfast room cramped during peak times, the option of outdoor seating on a covered terrace adds a pleasant touch. Dinner at Hotel Koos also garners high praise, particularly for its diverse menu that showcases well-cooked and affordable dishes with game dishes being a standout. The quality and friendly service of the homemade food in the hotel's "Pommernstube" and tavern further enhance the dining experience.
Rooms at Hotel Koos are noted for their cleanliness and coziness, providing good value for the price. Guests appreciate the spaciousness of some rooms, especially those with balconies and the soundproof environment contributes to a peaceful stay. Although the furnishings are described as simple and somewhat dated, the overall atmosphere remains pleasant and tidy.
The staff at Hotel Koos are consistently commended for their friendliness, hospitality and attentiveness. Their dedication to ensuring a comfortable stay is evident in their polite and competent service with a particular mention of the front desk staff’s prompt and courteous assistance. The team’s child-friendly demeanor also creates a welcoming environment for families.
While feedback on the beds varies with most guests finding them comfortable and appreciating the good quality of the linens, some suggest that the mattresses could use updating. Nonetheless, the majority of guests report a restful and pleasant sleeping experience.
Overall, Hotel Koos provides a well-located retreat with excellent dining, a friendly and dedicated staff and comfortable accommodations, ensuring a memorable stay for its guests.
