Riverresort Donauschlinge is celebrated for its idyllic location along the picturesque Danube, especially at the Schlögener Loop, where the river dramatically bends to create serene and stunning natural surroundings. This setting provides a peaceful retreat that is in harmony with well-maintained facilities and excellent cleanliness, further complemented by ample parking and stunning terrace views. Proximity to the Danube cycle path makes it an ideal stop for cycling enthusiasts.
The breakfast offerings receive high praise for their variety and abundance, providing a rich and generous buffet that guests can enjoy with scenic views over the Danube. Dinner also garners positive feedback for its quality and selection, particularly the all-inclusive buffet and vegan options, despite occasional comments on presentation.
While the rooms are generally appreciated for their spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort, there are mixed reviews regarding their state with some guests noting outdated furnishings and a lack of modern amenities. Ground floor rooms with terraces and river views are particularly highlighted as a desirable feature.
The cleanliness of the resort receives mixed feedback with some noting the need for renovations, especially in bathrooms, while others praise the overall cleanliness.
The staff is frequently lauded for their friendliness and professionalism, particularly during breakfast, although there are occasional mentions of less welcoming reception experiences.
The spa area, despite being small, is well-regarded for its beautiful saunas and accommodating staff, providing a good space for relaxation. Finally, the indoor pool, though small and noted as unheated, is praised for its pleasant atmosphere, contributing positively to the overall resort experience.
