Le Méridien Frankfurt appears to present mixed experiences according to guest reviews. While the breakfast buffet has been praised as diverse and meeting the standards expected of a five-star hotel, other aspects seem to fall short. Guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the absence of basic amenities like coffee machines or kettles in the rooms, which are generally anticipated in hotels of this caliber. Additionally, the service levels have been noted as lacking, not aligning with the expectations set by the hotel's five-star rating. The ongoing renovations have not been communicated effectively, catching some guests by surprise. Overall, while there are redeeming qualities like the breakfast offerings, the hotel's service and facilities do not consistently match the high Méridien brand standards or justify the pricing for some visitors.

The Sofitel Frankfurt Opera is a wonderful and exceptional five-star hotel, among the best hotels one could stay in. The elegant and aesthetic room furnishings with spacious bathrooms and provided amenities such as bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer and toiletries, free minibar, Nespresso machine with capsules and tea blends were exceptional. The mirror wall between the bathroom and living area and the skyline view was an added bonus. The staff were friendly and attentive and the fitness area with treadmill and spa area were okay. Though some guests found the spa staff to be unfriendly and unprofessional, overall, the hotel was super nice and very clean. The hotel had a French touch and was up to the latest standards, making it a great city hotel with exceptional service for guests. While some reviewers found it, not on top as expected, others felt that it was the best hotel in Frankfurt.
