The Peninsula New York is the perfect luxury hotel for those looking for an iconic stay in the heart of Manhattan. Despite a few negative reviews, most guests couldn't stop raving about the reception, hospitality and overall luxuriousness of the hotel. The rooms are classic in style, but still very comfortable and relaxing. While some have criticized the hotel as being dated, we believe it maintains a certain charm that is missing in other modern luxury hotels. The food is great, although some guests feel it is expensive (but what else would you expect from a 5-star hotel?). The The Shoreham offers a blend of luxury and comfort that provides guests with an enjoyable stay. The ambiance is suffused with a rustic-luxury vibe, enhancing its boutique hotel charm. The amenities are on par with four-star hotels, featuring opulent beds and room decor that ensure a restful stay. Guests who are upgraded to the penthouse suite experience an even higher level of luxury. However, while the hotel delivers a great four-star experience, some visitors feel it doesn't quite meet the standards of European four-star hotels and expected a bit more luxury for the price paid. Overall, the hotel's luxurious feel and amenities contribute to a pleasant and comfortable stay, even if it may not fully align with all four-star expectations.

The Manhattan Club offers a mixed experience when it comes to luxury. Some guests perceive the hotel as providing a quintessential New York City hotel atmosphere, capturing the essence of the upscale environment that one might expect in Manhattan. However, opinions on the luxury status are varied, with some visitors feeling the hotel falls short of its advertised four-star rating, likening it more closely to a two or three-star establishment by Western European standards. While there are guests who enjoyed a few days of luxury in the heart of the city, others found the hotel to be an overrated attempt at luxury with average facilities and staff performance. Therefore, while the location is undeniably central and attractive for visiting New York, potential guests may want to temper their expectations regarding the hotel’s luxury offerings.
