Pullman Rotorua garners mixed reviews when it comes to its five-star status. Many guests highlight its modern, luxurious lobby and clean, new accommodation which generally meets high standards. The hotel boasts quality equipment and bedding, underscoring a level of comfort expected from a high-end establishment. Some reviews mention that the hotel does meet five-star expectations in general and its reasonably priced services for a five-star rating are appreciated.
However, there are multiple critiques suggesting that Pullman Rotorua falls short of the five-star mark. Some guests were disappointed by the absence of amenities like a swimming pool or bathtubs, which are often standard in five-star hotels. The bar service frequently came under criticism with mentions of needing more general training and not meeting five-star service standards.
Moreover, there are mentions of the decor not aligning with the expected five-star quality and several reviews commented that the overall facilities did not justify the price paid, labeling the experience as not worth five-star costs. It seems that while the hotel performs well in certain areas, there are notable gaps when compared to typical five-star hotel standards.
