At the Best Western Plus Hotel Am Schlossberg, guests traveling with their furry companions find the experience to be generally welcoming. Dogs, including dachshunds, receive a warm welcome from the attentive staff, who ensure that both human and canine guests are well taken care of throughout their stay. A special touch for the pups is the welcome package, complete with treats, a poop bag, and a map outlining the best walking routes nearby, which are appreciated by many pet owners.
However, there are some limitations to note. Dogs are not permitted to join their owners at breakfast, which might be inconvenient for those who prefer dining with their pets. There is also some criticism regarding the nightly pet fee, with some guests finding the €20 charge slightly steep given the hotel's somewhat outdated facilities and furnishings.
Despite these drawbacks, many guests express willingness to return, appreciating the overall pet-friendly nature of the hotel. The ability to travel with pets without hassle is a highlight, ensuring that dog owners can enjoy a relaxing stay alongside their beloved companions.

Schurwald Hotel in Plochingen stands out for its superb location, cleanliness and exceptional staff. Located on a charming shopping street in the heart of the town, it provides easy access to shops, pedestrian zones and the train station, all within a comfortable walking distance. Despite this central placement, the hotel maintains a peaceful ambiance perfect for a relaxing stay amidst the bustling city.
Guests appreciate the spacious, modern and clean rooms, often highlighting their bright decor and comfortable furnishings. The daily housekeeping service ensures that rooms remain tidy and well-maintained, although some minor issues like occasional dustiness and specific bathroom setups were noted. Nevertheless, the overall cleanliness contributes to a positive experience.
The comfortable and large beds are frequently praised, contributing further to a satisfying stay. The presence of friendly and courteous staff uplifts the quality of service, making guests feel welcomed and well-cared-for despite occasional language barriers and minor disruptions in the morning from hotel employees.
The breakfast arrangement is a point of mixed feedback. While some find the early breakfast at a nearby bakery convenient and sufficient, others experience limitations and occasional confusion. The proximity and integration with the bakery are seen as both an advantage and a shortfall due to inconsistency in service.
One aspect requiring significant improvement is the Wi-Fi service, which many guests find weak and unreliable, particularly in the rooms. Reliable internet access is generally confined to the lobby area.
In summary, Schurwald Hotel is highly recommended for its excellent location, cleanliness, spacious and comfortable rooms and delightful staff, making it a favorable choice for both leisure and business travelers. While the breakfast arrangement and Wi-Fi connectivity present some challenges, the overall guest experience remains positive and inviting.
