Stadthotel Waldhorn enjoys glowing praise for its prime location in the heart of Kirchheim/Teck. Nestled directly on the market square and within the pedestrian zone, it offers guests immediate access to the town's historic center, charming shops, vibrant restaurants and the picturesque old town surroundings. The hotel’s beautiful setting in a renovated half-timbered house enhances its appeal, making it an excellent choice for those aiming to immerse themselves in Kirchheim/Teck's atmosphere.
The breakfast experience at Stadthotel Waldhorn is widely celebrated. Guests consistently describe it as very good, tasty and varied. The breakfast buffet is often highlighted for its richness and excellent presentation, leaving little to be desired. The scenic view over the market square from the breakfast room adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the morning meal. Although there are minor inconsistencies like supply levels towards the end of service time, the overall consensus is that the breakfast is of high quality and variety.
The dining experience at the attached restaurant, Holz&Feuer, is another standout feature. The exceptional quality and selection of dishes, complemented by excellent service, have garnered high recommendations. Guests particularly praise the wood-fired pizza and the enjoyable dining ambiance on the terrace overlooking the marketplace. This makes for a memorable culinary experience that enhances the overall hotel stay.
While the rooms at Stadthotel Waldhorn receive mixed reviews, the positive aspects include their spaciousness, modern renovations and unique features like terraces and scenic views. Cleanliness is a strong point with both bedrooms and bathrooms frequently described as spotless and well-maintained. However, some guests found the decor outdated, the furnishings simplistic and any noise issues due to poor soundproofing and external disturbances.
The staff at Stadthotel Waldhorn are consistently lauded for their friendliness, attentiveness and helpfulness. The welcoming atmosphere extends from the reception to the restaurant, making guests feel comfortable and well-cared for. The service quality is frequently praised for being excellent with staff demonstrating competence and a readiness to address any situation promptly.
Parking options are practical with an underground garage and nearby public facilities providing convenience, despite the paid service which may be a bit costly for some guests. Finding suitable spaces can be challenging for large vehicles, but overall, the straightforward parking solutions are appreciated.
The bed situation receives mixed feedback. Some guests found the beds narrow, firm and somewhat uncomfortable, particularly in single rooms. Despite these criticisms, there are positive mentions of beds being very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing rooms, indicating that experiences can vary depending on the room assigned.
In summary, Stadthotel Waldhorn is celebrated for its strategic location, excellent breakfast, outstanding dining experience, high levels of cleanliness and attentive staff. Although the room decor and bed comfort receive mixed reviews, the overall appeal of the hotel remains strong, making it a cherished choice for many travelers.
