Olde House, Chesterfield by Marston's Inns is a three-star accommodation that offers a decent stay with a combination of a pub and lodging, making it a convenient option for guests looking for both food and accommodation in one place. The overall review highlights its excellent value for money with terms like great value, good price and super value frequently mentioned. The rooms are described as spacious and clean, although some guests noted that the cleanliness could be improved.
The hotel seems particularly suitable for budget-conscious travelers as the facilities are not luxurious but provide essential comfort. The staff are regularly praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing positively to the overall experience. A separate car park for guests adds to the convenience of staying here.
However, some areas could benefit from improvement. Wi-Fi connectivity issues are a common downside and some noise disturbances from neighboring rooms, corridors and even from the dining areas were reported. The breakfast could also be improved with complaints about the limited cereal choice and lukewarm coffee. Additionally, there are no air conditioning units in the rooms, which might be a concern during warmer days. Despite these minor drawbacks, Olde House remains a good value-for-money option for travelers seeking basic but comfortable accommodation.

Duke of Wellington offers good value for those looking for a budget-friendly stay. Many found the food and service to be fantastic, which adds to the overall appeal of the accommodation. While rooms are described as adequate, they are straightforward, with some guests noting that a refresh of the décor might enhance the experience. A small, handy info sheet detailing heating and shower operations could improve guest convenience. Though nothing overtly negative was highlighted, elements like a hard bed or traces of damp do affect some stays. The property could benefit from a deeper clean and more attention to detail in the restaurant, where improvements in cleanliness could enhance first impressions. As for customer service, while contact numbers are available, some felt that a more personal touch during checkout would be appreciated. Overall, Duke of Wellington is seen as a budget-conscious option that fulfills basic accommodation needs.
