Unusual HotelGuests staying at Hotel im Wasserturm have the opportunity to experience the historic city of Cologne in a different way than usual. The hotel is housed in what used to be a water tower. Built in the 19th century by an Englishman, the water tower was the largest one in Europe, but it quickly lost its function when the city population increased so much that a water piping system needed to be installed instead. The building was used as a storage space for many years, until it was turned into the hotel that it is today.
