Hotel O Alemão is lauded for its tranquil and beautiful location, ideal for those seeking a serene retreat in a lush natural setting. The hotel is easily accessible via paved roads, making it a convenient home base for exploring nearby attractions, especially for guests with their own vehicles. Despite being a bit far from the centers of Mulungu and Guaramiranga, many guests appreciate the peaceful environment and welcoming staff, viewing the distance as advantageous for a relaxing nature getaway.
The hotel's breakfast offerings receive robust praise for their abundance, variety and quality, complemented by excellent service. While straightforward in presentation, the breakfast consistently satisfies guests with its fresh and tasty selections, catering to a range of dietary preferences.
Dining at the on-site restaurant is another highlight with guests consistently commending the delicious, high-quality food and reasonable prices. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes with excellent appetizers and breakfast options, supported by good service. Some find the prices slightly high but feel the overall value justifies the cost.
Rooms at Hotel O Alemão are noted for their cleanliness and comfortable size with some offering large bathrooms, balconies and terraces. However, the decor is often described as outdated and there are occasional issues with musty smells and noisy air conditioning. Despite these concerns, the overall cleanliness and space make for a comfortable stay.
Cleanliness overall is a strong point for the hotel with frequent mentions of tidy, well-maintained spaces and high standards of hygiene. The staff are highly praised for their attentiveness, friendliness and professionalism, significantly enhancing the guest experience with their efficient service.
The beds in the hotel cater to various preferences with many guests finding them very comfortable. Though some suggest the mattresses could be firmer, the general consensus is that the beds contribute to a restful night's sleep.
