Hotel Maria del Carmen offers a mixed experience when it comes to its pool area. The majority of guests praise the pool for being clean, beautiful and a great addition to their stay, especially considering the hot temperatures in the area. The spacious and well-maintained main pool, along with the bar offering refreshments, creates a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere for families and individuals alike.
However, there are notable issues reported by several guests. Some mentioned the pool water looking dirty and milky at times with chlorine levels that may be too high. The noise around the pool, particularly from the bar playing loud music and children screaming can be disturbing for those in nearby rooms or seeking peaceful relaxation. The pool also tends to get crowded and there are concerns about hygiene and maintenance with complaints about cockroaches and general cleanliness. While the pool stays open late, which some find convenient, others feel it contributes to the noise problem.
Overall, the pool at Hotel Maria del Carmen is a lovely feature with some great amenities, but there are various maintenance and noise issues that the management could address to improve the overall guest experience.
