The Essex Resort & Spa boasts a terrific pool area with both indoor and outdoor options. Guests can enjoy lots of amenities including the pool, spa and gym. The beautiful and clean pool area is a favorite among visitors. The outdoor jacuzzi is a nice touch, although there isn't a view from it. The pools are warm and spacious, although some felt they closed a bit too early. Despite some issues with groups hogging the hot tub, overall the pool and hot tub were great. Patio and lounge chairs were sometimes difficult to come by. The only downside is that some room locations are quite far from the pool area, but for those who don't mind a little walk, the pool area is worth the visit.
