Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Val De La Cascade is celebrated for its prime location, nestled amid lush greenery and a stunning waterfall, making it an excellent base for outdoor enthusiasts. Guests highlight its proximity to significant attractions like the Coo waterfall and Plopsa Coo amusement park, as well as nearby towns like Malmedy, St. Vith and Stavelot. The serene surroundings, beautiful views of the Amblève River and easy access to hiking trails and cycling routes contribute significantly to its appeal.
The breakfast service vastly receives positive feedback, noted for its extensive variety and quality. Guests indulge in a buffet that includes freshly squeezed orange juice and options to cook eggs to preference, enhancing the overall dining experience. Although there are occasional mentions of outdated cutlery and missing cereal, the breakfast offerings are largely praised.
Dinner at the hotel's restaurant is similarly well-received. Guests commend the high-quality, delicious food and the beautiful terrace views that enhance the dining ambiance. While some feel the service could be inconsistent, the restaurant is generally acknowledged for its reasonable prices and excellent food, particularly the trout dish. The professional and friendly staff further elevate the dining experience.
Guest rooms at the hotel are described as spacious, modern and very clean with some featuring lovely terraces and jacuzzis. Despite several mentions of room inconsistencies and outdated bathrooms, the overall quality, comfort and cleanliness of the rooms make for a pleasant stay.
The staff at Hotel Val De La Cascade consistently receive high marks for their exceptional service, friendliness and professionalism. Guests specifically appreciate the multilingual capabilities and the efficient reception process, contributing to a warm and welcoming environment.
However, the hotel's wifi service is frequently criticized with several reports of unreliable connectivity and technical issues affecting the overall experience. This stands in contrast to the otherwise comfortable accommodations and well-maintained facilities.
The beds receive mixed reviews, some guests finding them extremely comfortable while others note issues with hardness or noise. Despite these varied experiences, the overall consensus tends toward a positive impression of bed quality and sleeping arrangements.
In summary, Hotel Val De La Cascade stands out for its excellent location, beautiful scenery and commendable service, making it a favored choice for relaxation and outdoor activities. While some areas, such as internet connectivity and room consistency, could benefit from improvements, the delightful dining options and friendly staff contribute to a memorable stay.
