Hôtel Astrid enjoys an enviable location in Lourdes, providing guests with easy access to the town’s key religious sites, including the Sanctuary, the Grotto and the Basilica, all within a short walk. This prime setting is enhanced by beautiful mountain views and a broad selection of nearby restaurants and shops, making it convenient for visitors.
The hotel is commended for its comfortable and spacious rooms, particularly the deluxe double and family rooms, which are noted for their generous space and cleanliness. The overall ambiance of the hotel is described as cozy with the friendly and welcoming staff further enriching the guest experience. Although there are occasional issues with room amenities and noise, the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities are generally well-regarded.
The hotel's breakfast receives mixed feedback; some appreciate the varied selection that includes fruit, pancakes, pastries and cooked options, while others criticize it for lacking quality and variety. The price of the breakfast and its exclusion from the room rate are also points of contention for some. Despite these criticisms, the breakfast appeals to a number of guests.
Cleanliness throughout Hôtel Astrid is frequently highlighted positively with visitors noting the well-maintained conditions of rooms and public areas. The attentive and professional staff play a significant role in this, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests feel that certain cleaning routines could be improved to meet the expectations of a four-star hotel.
The staff receives widespread praise for their accommodating and friendly nature, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests. Special mentions of staff members who speak excellent English and a particularly engaging hotel director add to the positive service experience guests have at Hôtel Astrid.
In summary, Hôtel Astrid stands out for its strategic location, comfortable accommodations and commendable staff, making it a favored choice for those visiting Lourdes' spiritual sites. While breakfast and minor housekeeping issues provide room for improvement, the overall experience remains highly positive.
