The Portland Super Value Inn is appreciated for its excellent and convenient location, appealing to travelers with its proximity to major highways, downtown, and the airport. The surrounding neighborhood offers numerous parks, restaurants, and coffee shops, adding to the attraction of the hotel. Secure parking and easy access to public transit options further enhance the practicality of staying here, making it a convenient choice, especially given the affordable pricing.
Guests enjoy the friendly and accommodating staff, who consistently receive positive remarks for their efforts to ensure a pleasant stay. Instances of going above and beyond, such as mailing back forgotten items and allowing late check-outs, reflect their commitment to guest satisfaction and enhance the overall experience.
While the inn provides budget-friendly accommodation, there are challenges with room cleanliness and maintenance, which many guests have noted. Despite welcoming staff, rooms suffer from issues such as unpleasant odors, mold, and outdated furnishings. However, practical amenities like functional heating and kitchenettes are appreciated, even if the aesthetics leave something to be desired.
Feedback regarding the beds is mixed; some visitors find them comfortable and soft, ensuring a restful sleep, while others highlight concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. Reports of bed bugs and misshapen mattresses detract from the experience for some guests.
Overall, Portland Super Value Inn offers a solid choice for travelers prioritizing location and affordability, with staff service standing out as a key positive aspect amidst other areas needing improvement.
