The Athenaeum Intercontinental hotel boasts a stunning outdoor swimming pool where guests can relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The pool area is staffed by excellent personnel, including the noteworthy John, who provides top-notch service. Along with the beautiful rooftop patio, the pool provides a great spot to enjoy the South's warm weather. However, some guests noted that the pool area could use more seating, as there are only 20 to 30 sunbeds available- definitely insufficient given the hotel's capacity. Others also mentioned that the pool can get hot during peak hours, though it's still a great place to cool off. Nevertheless, a few negative reviews described the pool as small and unappealing with a dark floor that can become too hot to stand on, which is undoubtedly disappointing given the capacity of the hotel. Overall, the pool at Athenaeum Intercontinental is a wonderful place to relax, but there's certainly room for improvement.
