The hotel boasts a great selection of activities suitable for children, making it a great option for families with younger kids. Guests who opted to upgrade to a suite received a spacious family room that perfectly accommodated their needs. While some reviewers mentioned that the hotel vibe may be better suited for a younger age group, families with children will still find plenty to love at this hotel. While the kids' menu was limited for those staying for longer periods, overall the hotel was a great pick for families with young children. However, some guests noted that the location of the hotel meant it was necessary to take a car to quieter beaches and that mealtimes could be more family-friendly. Those booking the half-board option lamented that the menu was the same every night, which detracted from their overall experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, Pestana Alvor South Beach is still an excellent hotel choice for families looking to have a good time on vacation.
