Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Quest Scarborough has garnered largely positive reviews for its prime location, cleanliness, staff and overall comfort.
One of the standout features of Quest Scarborough is its excellent location. Guests appreciate its proximity to Scarborough Beach, as well as various restaurants, cafes and shops. The nearby esplanade with its beautiful surroundings enhances the overall experience. The convenience of being close to recreational spots and the Scarborough bus station makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. Despite being on a main road, the rooms are well-insulated, ensuring a peaceful stay and ocean views from the balconies add an extra charm.
The hotel's cleanliness also receives high accolades. Rooms, bathrooms and public areas are frequently described as spotless with a fresh and modern feel. The housekeeping staff's thoroughness and attention to detail contribute to a comfortable and pleasant stay. Guests consistently highlight the immaculate condition of the facilities, reinforcing the hotel's reputation for cleanliness and maintenance.
The staff at Quest Scarborough is another major highlight. Guests often praise the team's friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. The reception team, in particular, is noted for their prompt and courteous service, enhancing the overall guest experience. This welcoming atmosphere from check-in to departure makes guests feel well taken care of.
While the on-site parking is generally considered convenient and secure, it can be limited during busy periods. Some guests mentioned challenges finding a spot due to overbooking issues, particularly on local market days. Despite these occasional limitations, the overall sentiment towards the parking facilities is positive.
Opinions on the beds are mixed but tend toward the positive. Many guests found the beds comfortable and conducive to a restful experience, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, there were some criticisms regarding the mattresses and pillows with a few guests finding them too soft, lumpy or uncomfortable. Additionally, some noted dissatisfaction with beds being two singles pushed together. Nonetheless, a number of guests still reported a good night’s sleep.
In summary, Quest Scarborough stands out for its prime coastal location, exceptional cleanliness, friendly staff and overall comfort, making it a reliable choice for travelers seeking a vibrant yet laid-back Scarborough atmosphere.
