Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Cristal Flumserberg enjoys high acclaim from guests for various aspects of their stay. The hotel's prime location on a mountain offers stunning surroundings and convenient access to ski lifts, making it an ideal destination for ski enthusiasts. With the main gondola only 200 meters away and ski-in, ski-out access, guests find it exceptionally easy to hit the slopes. Additionally, the central location places grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance, enhancing the practicality of the stay. During summer, the location is equally favorable for hiking and mountain biking.
Guests rave about the hotel's breakfast, highlighting it as excellent and varied with fresh options including gluten-free choices without additional cost. While the selection could benefit from more variety in sausages and cheese, the general satisfaction with the breakfast remains high, further complemented by the friendly staff.
The dining experience at Hotel Cristal Flumserberg is generally positive with particular praise for the cheese fondue at the Chässtübli. Most diners rate the food quality highly, appreciating how the hotel caters to dietary restrictions. However, some guests have encountered occasional issues with specific meals and noted the need to prebook dinner, although the overall dining experience is still deemed satisfactory.
The rooms are another highlight, noted for their cleanliness, comfort and alpine chic style. Guests often receive upgrades to larger, well-decorated rooms, ensuring a cozy and restful stay. While there are mentions of smaller and older-fashioned rooms, the positive aspects, including modern rain showers and efficient check-in and check-out processes, prevail.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel is consistently praised with guests noting that the rooms and bathrooms are generally well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay.
The staff at Hotel Cristal Flumserberg are frequently celebrated for their friendliness and helpfulness. The attentive and accommodating nature of both the general and reception staff enhances the overall experience, despite minor language barriers.
The hotel's wellness area, although small, offers a serene retreat praised by guests. The sauna and steam-sauna facilities are particularly noted for their quality. While the additional cost and summer closure of the sauna are slight inconveniences, the wellness area remains a pleasant surprise for many.
For ski lovers, the hotel's location directly on the ski slope and near the gondola is unbeatable. The hotel provides essential skiing amenities, including a ski depot and drying room, making it a top choice for winter sport enthusiasts.
Overall, Hotel Cristal Flumserberg delivers a well-rounded and pleasant stay, particularly for those looking to enjoy outdoor activities in a beautiful mountain setting.
