Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Scandic Hamburger Börs, located in the heart of Turku, enjoys lavish praise for its prime location, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers. Just a short walk from the bustling market square and the Aura River, the hotel provides exceptional access to nearby cafes, shops and amenities. Guests appreciate the convenient parking options, including direct elevator access, which enhance the overall practicality of the stay.
Breakfast is a standout feature, frequently praised for its diversity, abundance and quality. Guests enjoy a variety of fresh local products and diverse options, including gluten-free and vegan choices, served in a stylish restaurant by friendly and efficient staff. This has led many to describe the breakfast as the best they've ever had. Dinner experiences, while mixed, receive positive remarks for food quality and restaurant settings, particularly the New Year's and Christmas dinners and dining with rooftop views. However, service inconsistencies and limited vegetarian options are noted drawbacks.
Rooms are another highlight, often described as spacious, modern and immaculately clean. The combination of soundproofing, stylish decor and comfortable beds ensures a peaceful and restful stay. Family-friendly features, such as space for cribs and strollers, add to the overall comfort. Minor issues like occasional air conditioning problems and maintenance oversights don't significantly detract from the generally excellent accommodations.
Cleanliness is consistently noted with well-maintained rooms, bathrooms and common areas contributing to a high standard of hygiene. The staff are widely appreciated for their friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness, though occasional lapses in attentiveness are mentioned. Notably, the commitment to cleanliness and warm service enhances the overall guest experience.
WiFi experiences are mixed with some guests enjoying seamless connectivity while others encounter issues with speed and device compatibility. The gym is praised for being well-equipped and spacious, although the absence of towels and disinfectant is a minor point for improvement. Parking is convenient and functional, though it can be somewhat costly and finding a spot may be challenging at times.
Scandic Hamburger Börs proves to be a favorable choice for families, thanks to spacious, soundproof rooms and accommodating staff. The central location, ease of access to market parking and enjoyable breakfast experience make it a recommended option for family stays. While the nightlife options around the hotel and the rooftop bar are appealing, potential noise disturbances and crowded bars should be considered by light sleepers.
Overall, the beds are generally considered comfortable and conducive to a good night's sleep, despite occasional complaints about softness or pillow quality. Scandic Hamburger Börs successfully meets its four-star designation with its top-notch amenities and high-quality service, ensuring a luxurious and pleasant stay in a newly renovated setting.
