Sonesta Silicon Valley, located in the heart of Milpitas, enjoys an excellent reputation amongst its guests for its strategic and convenient location. The hotel is lauded for its proximity to major highways, San Jose, downtown San Francisco and the San José airport, making it an ideal spot for both business travelers and tourists. The serene surroundings, away from the usual city clamor, offer a peaceful and quiet environment. The breakfast experience at Sonesta Silicon Valley generally receives positive feedback. Guests appreciate the variety and quality of options available, including bread, fruit, coffee, yogurt and blackberries. The breakfast offerings are described as superb and very good with excellent service from the waitstaff being a highlight. While some found the buffet slightly overpriced, the overall consensus points to a tasty and satisfying meal to start the day.
The dinner service, however, has received mixed reviews. While the quality of food is praised, many guests found the limited operating hours of the on-site restaurant and bar frustrating. This limitation, possibly influenced by COVID-19 restrictions, has been inconvenient for those looking for a full-service dinner, especially given the scarcity of nearby dining options within walking distance.

Guests appreciate the modern design, stylish mid-century modern aesthetic and thoughtful updates. Equipped with necessary amenities like coffee machines and wireless charging stands, the rooms offer a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, ideal for a restful stay.

The friendly reception team and housekeepers significantly enhance the guest experience. Nonetheless, some reviews indicated experiences of unhelpful or inattentive service, suggesting room for improvement in ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
The hotel's WiFi service brings mixed feelings with good connectivity appreciated by several guests. However, issues with complex registration processes and occasional poor connectivity have been noted, including challenges with entertainment options like Google Chromecast and cable channels.
