Location
Hotel Moderno boasts a strategic and highly convenient location that earns it significant praise from its guests. Situated directly opposite the Rimini train station, it offers ideal accessibility for travelers, particularly those reliant on train services. The close proximity to bus stops, including those leading to San Marino and the airport, ensures seamless travel options.
Guests find the location not only practical but also advantageous for exploring Rimini. It's a short stroll to the historic center, various shops, and restaurants, as well as the beautiful seaside, making the hotel a perfect base for exploring local attractions. Despite some mentions of the furniture being a bit vintage, the comfortable accommodations and welcoming atmosphere provided by the friendly and helpful staff leave a positive impression. Additionally, the availability of free parking and breakfast further enhances the stay, making Hotel Moderno a noteworthy choice for travelers seeking convenience and value for money in Rimini.
Breakfast
Hotel Moderno seems to delight its guests with a breakfast experience that is generally praised for both its quality and variety. Many visitors commend the hotel for an excellent and hospitable breakfast service, highlighting the rich buffet that includes artisanal products. The buffet appears to be large, varied, and accommodating, with options available for guests with dietary intolerances.
The breakfast starts early, catering to early risers with a selection of cakes, cookies, and other foods. The breakfast has been described as abundant, satisfying, and of high quality. Several reviews specifically mention the delicious breakfast juice, which is evidently a standout feature among the offerings.
While a few reviews suggest the variety might be limited, with a focus on desserts over traditional breakfast items, overall, the consensus leans heavily towards a pleasurable morning meal experience. The kind and attentive staff contribute positively to the breakfast ambiance, ensuring guests start their day on a satisfying note.
Rooms
Hotel Moderno offers a blend of simplicity and functionality, providing guests with comfortable accommodations despite its dated appearance. The rooms might seem a bit basic, lacking modern flair, yet they are consistently clean and well-serviced, ensuring a comfortable stay. Guests have noted that while the furniture and decor may appear old-fashioned, their functionality remains intact. The spaciousness of certain rooms adds to the comfort, though some features, like the small bathrooms, may not match the expectations set by the hotel's advertising images.
The hotel's convenient location, though not directly beside the sea, is accessible with just a short walk to the coast. Despite the straightforward and somewhat budget-friendly nature of the establishment, guests appreciate the warmth and helpfulness of the staff, which contributes positively to their overall experience at Hotel Moderno. Updating the furnishings and structure would enhance the appeal, but the existing charm still satisfies many visitors looking for clean, economical lodging in the area.
Beds
Hotel Moderno offers a generally positive experience when it comes to bed comfort, as highlighted by numerous guest reviews. Visitors frequently mention the comfort of the beds, contributing to excellent sleep quality, with high praise for the pillows and mattresses. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, which complement the large, very comfy beds. However, there are occasional criticisms, including beds that are too firm or slightly lumpy, and some describing the mattress as hammock-type, leading to discomfort. Despite these few concerns, the focus remains primarily on the comfort and functionality that many guests appreciate about the sleeping arrangements at Hotel Moderno.
Cleanliness
Hotel Moderno, despite its name, exudes a vintage charm with its 1970s-style fixtures and dated décor. While the structure may appear old, guests frequently commend the hotel for its impressive level of cleanliness. The rooms are consistently described as immaculate, clean, and tidy with fresh beddings and daily towel changes, although some suggest improvements in the frequency of towel refreshment. The bathrooms, although maintaining a pristine condition, sometimes lack modern amenities such as a shower tray or curtain, leading to wet floors after use. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel's dedication to maintaining clean and well-ordered rooms stands out, reassuring guests of a comfortable stay.
Staff
Travel enthusiasts exploring Hotel Moderno consistently rave about its exceptional staff. Visitors frequently highlight the staff's unwavering friendliness and helpfulness, asserting that they are not only welcoming but go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. Many guests have commented on the kindness and attentive nature of the staff, noting how they are extremely accommodating and manage to transcend language barriers with ease. The staff's ability to make guests feel at home shines through in several reviews, where travelers express gratitude for the genuine warmth and supportive environment fostered by the hotel's team.
Moreover, interactions with reception have been praised, especially for the assistance provided by the receptionists who expertly navigated logistical challenges for guests. In addition to their courteous demeanor, the hotel managers receive accolades for their remarkable attention to detail and nostalgic hospitality that resonates deeply with visitors.
The central location of the hotel, combined with its comfortable amenities, such as air conditioning and a satisfying breakfast, complement the positive experiences attributed predominantly to the staff's kindness and dedication. Overall, the commendable service at Hotel Moderno leaves guests thoroughly impressed and eager to return.
3 Star
Nestled in a prime location, Hotel Moderno offers the convenience of being just a short walk from the historical city attractions and scenic beaches, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. However, those seeking contemporary comforts may find the hotel's charm resides more in its unique history than its amenities. Despite the promise suggested by its name, the hotel showcases a vintage aesthetic reminiscent of its 1960s origins with facilities that have not seen much in the way of modern upgrades. The hotel’s dated infrastructure, particularly its somewhat inefficient bathroom facilities, and distinctively loud doorbell may not align with expectations of a typical three-star experience. Efforts to update the establishment could enhance the comfort and appeal considerably, aligning its historic allure with modern hospitality standards.
