The indoor pool at the Courtyard by Marriott Mahwah has garnered mixed reviews from guests. On the positive side, many found the pool to be a pleasant experience, highlighting its cleanliness and warmth. The heated pool has been described as well-maintained and enjoyable, especially for kids who loved spending time there. Some praised the beautiful indoor pool area, noting that it overlooks the courtyard, providing a nice ambiance for a swim.
However, several guests pointed out significant issues with the pool. Complaints included dark, cloudy water and in some cases green and brown coloration, suggesting poor maintenance at times. The pool area was occasionally found to be filthy and there were repeated mentions of no towels being available. The pool's limited opening hours and closures for maintenance inconvenienced some visitors and issues with cleanliness and outdated facilities were also flagged.
Despite the contrasting experiences, the pool's heated feature and cleanliness during specific times of the day provided a generally positive experience, especially for families with kids. Improvements in maintenance and amenities like towel availability could enhance the pool experience for all guests.
