Hotel Schloss Romanshorn enjoys acclaim for its stunning location. Overlooking Lake Constance and perched above Romanshorn harbor, it offers guests breathtaking views and convenient access to local attractions. The hotel's elevated position provides an excellent vantage point for enjoying the picturesque lakeside promenade and bustling marina. With proximity to the charming town center, nearby parks, bars and restaurants, as well as ease of access to the train station and port, the hotel strikes a perfect balance between tranquility and vibrant surroundings.
Guests consistently praise the hotel's clean, modern rooms and the friendly staff that contribute to a comfortable stay. The well-maintained garden adds to its charm, while the excellent breakfast, served at the partner Hotel Inseli, is often described as delicious and rich, despite some logistical inconveniences. The quality breakfast experience, highlighted by ample and tasty buffet options, seems to outweigh the mixed feelings about the short walk required to reach it.
Dinner reviews are mixed with many guests praising the quality of the meals and service, particularly the excellent pizza. However, long waiting times and occasional disappointments regarding meal availability due to events cast some shadows on the overall dining experience.
The rooms range from spacious and bright double rooms, praised for comfort, quiet atmosphere and cleanliness, to smaller and outdated rooms lacking modern comforts. Some negative comments include old furnishings, worn carpets and the need for bathroom renovations. Yet, the overall ambiance remains positive, especially for rooms with lake views.
Cleanliness generally receives positive remarks with many guests highlighting clean and modern accommodations. Friendly staff play a role in maintaining this standard, though occasional issues like dust and hair indicate room for improvement.
Staff at Hotel Schloss Romanshorn are generally described as friendly, welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. However, there are occasional lapses in staff visibility and professional service, particularly at the reception, which impacts overall convenience.
In summary, Hotel Schloss Romanshorn stands out for its prime location, remarkable views and welcoming atmosphere, making it a top choice for travelers seeking to explore and relax by Lake Constance, despite some areas needing improvement.
