Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The Anza-a Calabasas Hotel has garnered positive feedback from guests across several key areas, contributing to a generally favorable impression of the property.
The hotel's location is a standout feature, frequently praised for its convenience, tranquility and scenic beauty. Nestled off the freeway, it offers easy access to major Los Angeles attractions such as Santa Monica, Malibu and Hollywood, while providing a peaceful and charming ambiance. The proximity to shops, restaurants and entertainment options like the Commons at Calabasas and Old Town Calabasas enhances the experience, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers.
Guests consistently commend the spacious, clean and modern rooms, which are described as well-appointed, featuring sleek décor and comfortable amenities. The overall aesthetic of the hotel is bright and luxurious with practical nooks for fridges and coffee makers adding to the contemporary feel. Cleanliness is a consistent theme with the rooms and common areas being described as spotless and well-maintained.
The staff receives high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, significantly contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The front desk, in particular, stands out for exceptional service with personal commendations for staff members. This positive interaction with staff enhances the overall stay experience.
While the breakfast offerings receive criticism for their limited options and high costs, the other amenities such as the pool and parking have mixed reviews. The pool area, when well-maintained, provides a relaxing space for guests, though there are occasional mentions of cleanliness issues and maintenance closures. Parking is convenient and secure but comes with a daily fee that some guests find excessive.
The comfort of the beds is another high point with guests frequently noting the superb quality of the mattresses and the overall quiet environment, conducive to a restful sleep.
In summary, The Anza-a Calabasas Hotel impresses with its prime location, spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. Despite some minor areas of improvement, such as breakfast offerings and occasional pool and parking concerns, it remains a solid choice for visitors seeking comfort, convenience and attentive hospitality.
