Best Western Plus Carriage Inn, located conveniently near major freeways and Highway 405, provides an ideal starting point for exploring Los Angeles. Guests frequently praise its central location, which offers easy access to attractions such as Universal Studios, Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Despite its proximity to busy roads, the hotel maintains a tranquil ambiance, making it a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The neighborhood also offers many essential services like restaurants, shopping centers and a 24-hour Denny's right next door.
The rooms at the hotel are described as clean, spacious and comfortable. Many guests commend the modern, well-equipped rooms, highlighting recent remodeling and comfortable beds. Housekeeping is consistently noted for maintaining high cleanliness standards, further enhancing overall satisfaction.
While the hotel does not offer an in-house complimentary breakfast, the adjacent Denny's provides a convenient alternative. Despite some disappointment over the absence of a hotel-provided breakfast, many guests find the proximity of Denny's to meet their needs effectively for a quick meal.
The staff at Best Western Plus Carriage Inn receives high marks for friendliness and professionalism. They are praised for their helpfulness, efficient problem-solving and accommodating nature. Particularly, the front desk and housekeeping staff are commended for their courteous service, which significantly contributes to a positive guest experience.
The hotel also features an outdoor pool, which guests describe as large and enjoyable, especially for families with children. Despite occasional issues such as closures or limited size, the pool is often noted as a highlight of the stay. Additionally, there is a small but functional fitness center on-site.
Business travelers find the hotel's location highly convenient for accessing major tourist attractions and freeways, facilitating easy navigation for both business and leisure activities. The availability of business facilities further adds to the convenience of staying here on a work trip.
Accessibility is another positive aspect of the hotel with features that make it easy for guests with disabilities to navigate. These include handicap parking spots and a convenient location near multiple stores. Despite some minor challenges, such as limited parking and noisy streets, the hotel's accessibility remains a strong point.
The Best Western Plus Carriage Inn is also recognized as a pet-friendly hotel, accommodating dogs and providing dedicated pet rooms. While some guests noted minor cleanliness issues, such as dog hair, the overall environment and moderate dog fee make it a favorable option for travelers with pets.
In summary, Best Western Plus Carriage Inn offers excellent value for its clean, modern and spacious rooms, friendly and professional staff and central, convenient location. Despite minor shortcomings, such as the absence of a complimentary breakfast and occasional noise, it stands out as a reliable choice for both leisure and business travelers, including those traveling with pets.
