The Wyndham Lancaster Resort and Convention Center receives consistently high praise for its prime location, providing guests easy access to shopping centers, popular attractions like Dutch Wonderland and a variety of dining options. The resort's beautiful, spacious property offers numerous amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, a kids' playground and a game room, making it an ideal choice for family vacations and events.
Regarding dining, the in-house restaurant receives mixed reviews. Many guests laud the great food and top-notch service available until midnight on weekends; however, some mention erratic operation times and expensive meal options. Breakfast, in particular, is noted for its variety and quality by some, yet criticized by others for its steep pricing and limited availability.
Rooms are generally appreciated for their spaciousness, cleanliness, modern décor and comfortable beds, although there are occasional complaints about inconsistent cleaning, outdated furniture and small bathroom sizes. The layout of the hotel can be confusing with some rooms located far from the lobby.
Cleanliness is a strong point for the resort with many guests highlighting the well-maintained property and clean pools. Daily housekeeping usually ensures that rooms remain tidy, although a few guests report issues such as dirty carpets and occasional pests.
The staff experience varies with many guests praising the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, particularly at the front desk. However, some reviews mention instances of rudeness and unprofessionalism.
While WiFi is available and free, it receives criticisms for inconsistent connectivity and poor quality. The gym, on the other hand, is positively reviewed for its size and cleanliness, though its late opening time is seen as a drawback by early risers.
The pool area stands out as a highlight with both the indoor and outdoor pools receiving high praise for their cleanliness and family-friendly atmosphere. The outdoor pool, in particular, is favored for its spaciousness and accompanying amenities like a pool bar and hot tub.
Golf enthusiasts appreciate the well-maintained golf course and walking trails, despite some minor issues with golf cart conditions. Comfortable beds are also a notable positive aspect with many guests enjoying restful sleep thanks to clean and well-kept bedding.
The hotel meets basic expectations for a three-star resort, though some guests feel it falls short of maintaining a consistently high standard. The business facilities, including conference rooms and an expo center, receive positive feedback for their convenience and supportive services.
Overall, Wyndham Lancaster Resort and Convention Center offers a comfortable and convenient stay, especially for families and business travelers with notable strengths in its location, amenities and general cleanliness. However, consistency in service, meal offerings and room quality could further enhance the guest experience.
