Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Hotel Afford Inn in Dhaka is highly recommended for its convenient location, particularly for those traveling through Dhaka Airport. The hotel’s proximity to the airport, just a 5 to 10-minute walk or drive away, makes it an excellent choice for guests with early flights or long layovers. This strategic positioning is further enhanced by easy access to shopping and major city thoroughfares, although the lively surroundings can sometimes introduce noise from the streets and airport runways.
Guests frequently praise the hotel’s breakfast and dinner offerings. Breakfast is described as delicious and varied, featuring mouth-watering options such as fried rice. Despite some wishing for more vegetarian choices, the breakfast package is seen as a beneficial addition for travelers, complemented by the attentive staff. The dinner menu also receives commendations for its quality and diversity, catering to various tastes and accommodating diners with flexible meal timings.
The rooms at Hotel Afford Inn provide a generally comfortable experience, noted for their spaciousness and contemporary design. Guests often highlight the comfort of the beds and the value offered by room amenities such as soundproofing and city views. Nonetheless, there are instances where reality diverges from expectation, with certain reviews indicating issues such as maintenance problems and discrepancies between advertised room images and actual conditions.
Cleanliness at the hotel is viewed positively by many, who appreciate its maintained environment and the staff's dedication to service. Some aspects, however, such as bathroom hygiene and old furnishings, have been flagged for improvement to ensure consistent standards.
The staff is a significant asset to the hotel, continually receiving acclaim for their friendliness, helpfulness, and readiness to assist guests, which makes for a welcoming and pleasant stay. While the Wi-Fi service has received mixed reviews, frequent guests find it adequate for their needs.
Hotel Afford Inn is positioned as a budget-friendly option, offering good value for money and practical services such as affordable airport transfers. While it may not offer the luxury of higher-tier hotels, it stands out for travelers seeking simplicity, comfort, and strategic convenience in Dhaka.
