If you're looking for a fantastic place to stay with plenty of swimming facilities, the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center has got you covered. The water park is the reason to go with its lazy river, pool water slide and midnights swims. The property itself is beautiful with amazing gardens and a plethora of pools, both indoor and outdoor, heated and not. Though parking can be a bit of a nightmare, the access to the Splash park with resort transfer is super convenient. The resort is also very crowded because non-hotel guests are welcome and the staff can be undermanned at times. However, the atmosphere and main pool open late make up for any of the downsides. You can walk around, eat or just relax both at the water park and inside the hotel.
Overall, it's a nice place to stay with lots of Christmas activities to enjoy and stay busy. Besides the pools, shopping opportunities and the Cirque show, the breakfast buffet at the Riverside dining outlet is unmatched in the Dallas area. Guests have enjoyed the pools and while some wish the waters a bit warmer and the food service quicker, the hotel has catered to all types of people - families, adults, kids with things for everyone. So if you're looking for a place to indulge in some swim time while enjoying other activities, the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center can be an amazing hotel to visit.
